XCO Software Launches Positively Celebrity Mobile App
Smartphone technology company XCO Software has partnered with Positively Celebrity to create a new native mobile application that provides a unique way for the site’s fans and pop culture fanatics alike to get the latest celebrity scoop, beauty secrets, fashion trends and fitness tips from the palm of their hand.
XCO Software is a web-based software platform that provides a content management system and analytics, and will enable Positively Celebrity to create a branded smartphone app to continue its positive take on the world of pop culture. PositivelyCelebrity.com was founded by TV personality Kristen Aldridge, who currently hosts the daily pop culture series “omg! NOW” on Yahoo!, seen by millions of viewers worldwide.
“Through our partnership with Kristen and Positively Celebrity, we are providing consumers with an innovative way to experience pop culture that is more engaging and interactive,” said Alan Hayman, Senior Vice President of XCO Software. “We're thrilled be working with Positively Celebrity to enable them develop a smartphone app that is entertaining, flexible and has the potential to connect with consumers worldwide.”
The Positively Celebrity app, available for the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android, will allow users the opportunity to explore the inside world of the celebrity lifestyle in a rich and engaging way. With a few simple touches on a smartphone screen, users will be able to access exclusive video content with red carpet celebrity interviews, Hollywood beauty secrets, celebrity fashion trends for less, fitness tips from the stars, as well as music guides and celebrity hot spots.
The app also includes bios and extensive photo galleries of the Positively Celebrity experts and contributors, who have worked with world renowned brands such as E!, Style, TV Guide Network, MTV, TLC, The CW, Bare Minerals, Target, Johnson & Johnson and Ralph Lauren to name a few.
“Leveraging the XCO solution for our new mobile application is very exciting indeed,” said Kristen Aldridge, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Positively Celebrity. “The app enables us to bring our content straight to users no matter where they are, allowing for constant updates on daily celebrity news, Hollywood beauty secrets, fitness/diet tips and current fashion trends -- all at your fingertips!"
As a seasoned television personality and entertainment journalist, Positively Celebrity Founder and CEO Kristen Aldridge has worked all over the United States as host, reporter and producer. Throughout her career thus far, she’s been awarded five Telly Awards, a Davey and a Regional Emmy. She has an extensive list of hosting credits to her name, including ESPN Road Trip, The CW, SPEED, TLC, AMC, AT&T U-Verse, NBC, Metromix and more.
As a pop culture junkie, fashion addict and lover of all things creative, Kristen recently launched her own clothing line also called “Positively Celebrity”. A budget gal at heart, the line features celebrity-inspired fashion without the celebrity prices.
